The Sentiments of a Swordsman November 25, 1982 Munona Nadir, the only child of the Nadir family within Usuki, was born. At birth, the doctors noticed a concerning defect with the infant, he was unnaturally sensitive and frail. The doctors scrambled and made the atmosphere of the room chaotic as they frantically struggled to find the cause before it got worse, they deduced it to be the odd marking on his hand. After some careful surgical procedures, they manage to sever his seal from his body and dispose of it, unknowing of its effects. Right after the procedure, everything about him seemed to return to that of what you would expect of a healthy child. Unknowing of the world of evokers although, as he'd proceed with his childhood normally. Though as he aged, his parents would notice that he performed more labour intensive tasks with ease. If it came to lifting a boulder, you could basically count on him to throw that boulder tens of yards away. The neighbouring town quickly got news of this, and thought the child was cursed. "That thing just has to be under some kind of curse! It's unnaturally strong!" "Exactly! Is that why we've been so unfortunate in our harvests in the late years?" More and more rumors and gossip spread around town, quickly harboring hatred towards the naive child. They continued to alienate and exclude him from the town, leaving him and his family to feel exiled, until a swordsman came along and visited the child he heard from the rumors. He saw potential within Munona, and decided to take him along with his family under his protection. The swordsman, Kageyama Arata, was one who wielded the infamous Swiftspell Nullifier. He relentlessly trained the child and made him learn how to manage and control his strength, and instilled the motivation in him to guard the weak and to follow his duty. After several months, he'd grown satisfied with Munona's progress with his training. Munona was no longer just a brute with pure unrivalled power, he was now taught several different things about combat. Kageyama had decided to entrust his blade to Munona, after all, he had grown quite elderly to pursue adventuring any further. Munona ensured that he would not let down his mentor and set off to retrieve another blade Kageyama had told him about. The Lunarian’s Edge, in the midst of a stronghold within Okayama. He travelled from Usuki to Okayama, despite the harsh winter spreading all throughout Japan at the time. With his mentor's teachings, he manages to enter the fortified stronghold, though not in the way he expected. He was let inside by the personnel of the stronghold, and was guided to the room where the Lunarian's Edge resided inside. He took a closer look at the blade's features, lightly gliding his fingers across the surface to feel the engravings on the sword, allowing him to sense the effort and expert smithery put into the blade's craftsmanship. He took the sword's handle into his grip, and was pleasantly surprised by the newfound sense of perception it had given him. He could feel everything, be it the slight disturbances or distortions within the air or the sound reverberating from somewhere hundreds of yards away. He returned home with both blades in hand, and resumed training with Kageyama. Kageyama helped him master his ways with both the blades, allowing him to make proper use of the properties the swords had. "Are you... are you sure I'm ready, Kageyama-sensei?" He asked him as Kageyama gave him his coat. "You're more than ready to tackle the harsh world, my dear student. Remember to guide the weak and stick to your duties. Head to the heart of Minamiyama and figure it out from there. That is the only way you'll continue to grow in your journey." Kageyama responded, giving his student an affirming pat on the shoulder. "And don't worry about your parents or me back here in Usuki, I will make sure they're safe." Munona gave a nod in return, before setting off for Minamiyama. Upon arriving, he searched around until he came across the Mikami Institute of Esoteric Arts. Deciding to take part, he'd managed to get into the batch of first years along with a certain individual; Tashi. Squaring off against each other in the first training practice, the two were basically evenly matched. With Munona coming out as victor by a single deciding swing of his blade. The two had grown mutual respect for each other, and had agreed to become friends.
